Identity Driven Prop, Self Portrait

This is my response to constructing an interactive prop that involves identity and self-portraiture.
Before I started working I decided to make my project more about how I presented my piece compositionally. My prop was created to be wearable but my main goal was to capture the thought through symbolism. We have ideas, we think. We are alive, growing and changing.
The spider (or airplane) plants, Chlorophytum comosum, can survive in water and are pretty tough, thus making them ideal for my project. The wood is a repurposed box frame holding a soft foam ring that holds the plants and allows it to fit on my head.
Adobe Photoshop was used to merge two photos together and to add fx to the background layers.

Personal Logo (June 2021)
I hope to keep experimenting with the shading of the pen; different textures and intentional negative space within it may have a different visual impact.

My handwriting/marking style is a big part of many of my 2D drawings, so I wanted to translate that to my logo.
If I made another, or chose a different layout, I might start compositing my name with one of the small characters found in a lot of my work. That idea I want to explore further, I considered it a lot in my brainstorming thus far.
